McNeil Product Recall

As most of you have heard, McNeil has recalled all lots of most of their Children and Infants’ Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl products. They are offering reimbursement for these recalled products through either a product coupon or a product refund. All you need to do is fill out your contact information, and then enter the product information (including product name, NDC, lot number and expiration date) on the McNeil website. We linked the website where you can submit your refund requests below.
Once you submit your claim(s), feel free to swing by and drop off your recalled products where we can safely dispose of them!
We also are carrying generic equivalents of the affected medicine, which you can buy to take care of your children in the meantime!
Thanks,
Stacey, Barbara and Allyson
Reminder: Medication Review Event Next Week – How to Prepare?
Good afternoon, everyone! As we prepare for our medication review event to be held next Thursday (3/25, 11:00-7:00), we thought it might be a good idea to have our patients prepare, too. We have created a checklist containing the items that you should bring along to your appointment with the pharmacist:
www.delraypharmacy.com/downloads/MTMChecklist.pdf
As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the checklist, the medication review event, or anything else! We look forward to hearing from you as we begin to schedule appointments for the event.

Shingles Shot now Available
Anyone who has ever had shingles knows how awful it can be. Fortunately, there is a shingles vaccine available to reduce your risk of shingles and we have it at the Neighborhood Pharmacy!
Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. It causes a painful skin blistering on one side of the face or body. While no cure for shingles exists, there is a vaccine that can greatly reduce the possibility of getting shingles, and also reduce the severity of the virus if you do get it. You can read more information about the shingles virus and vaccine at this website:
We accept all major insurances for vaccinations. Call us for more information and to set up your Shingles vaccine appointment.

Medication Take Back Program to Start This Weekend
Currently, over 80% of waterways tested in the U.S. show traces of common medications. Here at the Neighborhood Pharmacy of Del Ray, we believe that you should get your medications out of your prescrition bottles, not out of your faucet. Starting this weekend, the pharmacy will be collecting expired or unused pharmaceuticals to allow for green disposal of medications in our community (at an eco-friendly waste to energy incineration facility). Stop by Saturday 9am – 2pm and Sunday 10am – 1pm to drop off your medications.
