Weekend Fun

Weekends at the Neighborhood Pharmacy look slightly different than our run-of-the-mill weekdays. Here’s what you might find when visiting on the weekend…

Our Pharmacy Mom: Every six weeks (give or take) Stacey’s mom, Karen, comes down from New Jersey for the weekend, and is shamelessly put to work.

Karen

Our Up-and-Coming Technician: Max, the 4-year-old flatcoat retriever (mix) joins Stacey and Barabara on Sundays as our newest Technician-in-training. He enjoys treats, belly rubs, and long walks around the neighborhood.

Pharmacy Intern Joins for the Month of March

Kristi, a senior at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, joins us in the pharmacy this month as our intern. She’ll be graduating this June with her Doctorate of Pharmacy. We are happy to find out she is an avid dog lover (she may even bring in Naia, an adorable chihuahua/papillon mix some day!) We look forward to introducing her to our wonderful community, so come on by and meet her!

Until next time,

Our New Technician, Allyson

Hello Friends of Del Ray Neighborhood Pharmacy,

We have officially made our first hire! Allyson joined us August 15th as a part-time Pharmacy Technician. Her duties include getting to know our local friends and customers, filling prescriptions, and helping Stacey out when things get busy.

Allyson was previously living in Seattle and working for a pharmacy in the area. She and her husband, Jesse, moved our way so that Jesse could go to medical school at Georgetown University. Allyson is working towards earning her Pharmacy Technician License, and hopes to attend pharmacy school next fall.

So come on in and say hi to Allyson!
And bring any prescriptions that need filling along with you. :)

Until next time,
Stacey, Barbara, and Allyson

Opening Day!

Here was our first sale! Our wonderful friend Salena was our very first customer :) The lovely cashier is Stacey’s cousin Megan (our slave, er assistant)

We are so glad to be finally open!

We couldn’t have survived the first day without dear Megan and our brillant computer support rep Lauren.

Almost Open… Any Day Now

We are almost ready to go. Our pharmacy inspection went by fine and all of our city inspections seems to be done (yay!). All we need now are computers and drugs (I know, important) and we will be ready to go.

Assuming all things go according to plan, our grand opening will be July 2nd during First Thursday. When that becomes definite, we will be sure to send out lots of information. We will also likely open ahead of time (during the week of June 22nd) for our friends and family to test out our systems. If you have prescriptions to be filled, please visit us then and drop them off. As soon as we are open for business we will be sure to spread the word.

Thanks for everyone for their help. We are very, very excited.
